BR Group at the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic Assembly 2025 in Brno
On October 7, 2025, we participated as a silver partner in the traditional General Assembly of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, which once again inaugurated the International Engineering Fair in Brno this year.
The President of the Confederation of Industry and CEO of BR Group, Jan Rafaj, also delivered his address, emphasizing the need to clearly anchor key priorities for the Czech economy in the new government’s policy statement.
BR Group was represented at the Assembly by Ing. Rudolf Bochenek, MBA, Ing. Martin Volný, Ing. Michal Otava, and Ing. Nikol Malatová.
A program full of currents topics
This year’s Assembly offered discussions on the challenges and future of Czech and European industry.

In his speech, Jan Rafaj presented the main factors that will determine the future of Czech and European industry.
✔ Industry Must Play a Key Role in European Defense
Milena Jaburková discussed with Lukáš Brchl, Jiří Staněk, and Tomáš Tóth how to better connect public procurement, startups, and the military—and how the Czech defense industry can strengthen Europe’s security and domestic technological base.
✔ The EU Needs a Restart
Radek Špicar, together with Martin Jahn, Roman Heide, Petr Koblic, Karel Havlíček, and Lukáš Vlček, addressed key topics such as the single market, a more flexible capital environment, investment in infrastructure and innovation, reforms of permitting processes, and the adoption of the euro.
✔ 1460 Days for the New Government
The business community’s priorities were presented—ranging from digitalization and infrastructure to reforms in education, healthcare, and the labor market.
The goal is a strong, resilient, and competitive Czech Republic.
